PHILOSOPHY - LOVE AND INNER PEACE:
Spiritual Guidance was born from the founder's soul (and sole) desire to make a difference to the lives of the people he lives and works with, to be of service, to love unconditionally and to promote inner peace as a seed for world peace. The founder recognized through his own spiritual transformation that examining one's life is a divine path to spiritual growth and enlightenment. Spiritual Guidance supports, facilitates and nurtures aspirants by co-creating, collaborating and living out a way of working together, walking the talk of oneness and leading by example.
MISSION - OUR HEART INTENTION:
Spiritual Guidance is an interfaith ministry initiative that serves by teaching and healing a world in transformation. As such, Spiritual Guidance facilitates the raising of consciousness and invites awareness of ourselves and our presence / place in the world by helping people remember who they truly are. In doing so, we embrace spiritual growth in a secular society by removing cultural, spiritual and religious barriers to oneness and inviting, encouraging and celebrating connection, diversity and inclusivity.
VISION - HOW WE SEE THE WORLD:
Spiritual Guidance plants seeds:
- Of welcoming, inclusivity and healing
- Of love, gratitude, compassion, forgiveness, peace, and acceptance (i.e., no judgment)
- Of truth and authenticity where we are not focused on 'right thinking' but 'living the questions' of who we are
- Where people from any faith or spiritual background (or not) can come to experience wholeness, interconnectedness, and 'self' knowing
OUR FOUNDER:
Robert Meagher is an Inter-Faith Minister who embraces a spiritual life and now serves to guide all those who wish to accept the Divine into their lives. Robert worked for almost 25 years in traditional corporate settings and acted in various management roles in the education, arts, financial, not-for-profit, government, consulting, and healthcare sectors. Along the way Robert earned bachelor and masters degrees and professional certifications. His life was full of the stereotypical existence manifested by a lifestyle that was deemed to be normal and acceptable of his career to that point in his life.
Robert began to see life differently in 2008 when his soul was opened to new ways of living with the realization there had to be another way. He was reminded of his earlier calling to "make a difference to the lives of the people he lives and works with". His spiritual re-awakening was nurtured in 2009 when he left his senior role at a prominent firm to set himself adrift and explore a new way of living and seeing the world we live in. Also in 2009, Robert began to devote himself to spiritual practice with A Course in Miracles as his guide. Robert's daily spiritual practice matured, deepened and led to his ordination in the Order of Melchizedek by the Sanctuary of the Beloved, an Inter-Faith seminary in New York State, USA. Since early 2012, Robert has been studying under Richard Harvey, Spiritual Teacher and Psycho-Spiritual Psychotherapist. Robert has received his certification (Certified LEVEL 1 and 2) as a Sacred Attention Therapist and is Co-Founder of The Center for Human Awakening. Raised in the Roman Catholic tradition, Robert has gratefully welcomed exposure to religions and faiths from all over the world - from traditional religions like Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism, to aboriginal, oriental and middle-eastern faiths, to communities with devout spiritual beliefs and practices. Robert is committed to helping people live in and be with Spirit, at the same time joyously respectful of varying traditions and faith practices.
Robert has been many things throughout his life: student, teacher, university professor, coach, amateur athlete, musician, artist, entrepreneur, manager, business leader, management consultant, international award-winning author, community leader, volunteer, caregiver, and more. However, the one thing that Robert has always cherished throughout his lifetime of experiences is the human spirit's capacity to give. Robert's own spiritual journey has led him to give in service to others. Through Spiritual Guidance Robert embraces the opportunity to serve those who wish to explore their own spirituality and gain insight into who they are, their purpose here in this lifetime and existence, and their desire to grow in Spirit.
